Ms. Jacobs’ practice focuses on representing plaintiffs with regard to employment litigation matters in both federal and state courts. She has represented individuals in a wide range of employment matters, including cases involving discrimination, harassment, overtime and minimum wage violations, breach of employment contract, whistleblower retaliation, and FMLA violations. Melissa is fluent in Spanish.

Ms. Jacobs earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and the Study of Women and Gender from Rice University in 1998. Ms. Jacobs attended the University of Texas School of Law and graduated with Honors in 2004. Following law school, Ms. Jacobs clerked for the Honorable Irma Carrillo Ramirez, United States Magistrate Judge for the Northern District of Texas.

Ms. Jacobs lives in Austin, Texas with her husband and two children.
